STATE SENATOR

I love north Georgia and the people that live here.I love to see children safe,healthy and happy. I believe that we must protect their future by making sure they have clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. I want to enhance the quality of living here through controlled growth. I am an advocate of small business. Small business is the backbone of  North Georgia and needs to be supported by our Legislators. I want to lead an effort to decrease or eliminate gift taking among legislators. Lobbyist don't give these gifts without expecting something in return. I will be an advocate of allowing our school boards more latitude on how to disseminate monies allotted by the state, and give back the 1.5 billion to Georgia's schools and eliminate the 65% rule. I want to see a limit in what the elderly and disadvantaged can be charged in regards to costs associated with heating and cooling their homes. I want to see adequate health care for those children kicked off  Peach Care and those handicapped children denied occupational and physical theropy due to cuts in Medicaid.   I will not vote for a tax increase . Georgians are taxed on every side and it is time someone says, enough is enough. I am against this border dispute that we have entered with our Tennessee neighbors.We may need them in the future if the Volkswagon manufacturer locates in Chattanooga.These are just a few ideas I have for the 2008 election.  I AM A DEMOCRAT

Because my parents raised me with the basic  values and principles that are still important to me  today.  I am a Christian today because of the way I was raised.I have always considered myself as a southern Democrat that believes in caring for the elderly, handicapped, and those less fortunate. I don't believe in handing out free goods and services to those who refuse to work. I believe in helping those that are willing to help themselves.

I refuse to be labeled as a baby killer. I believe that abortion is necessary only in cases of rape, incest, and if the mothers life is in jeopardy. I don't believe in abortion as a means of birth control.

 I am a Deputy Sheriff. I have a house full of guns that I don't want taken from me. However I don't believe in allowing someone to possess large quantities of assault rifles capable of mass destruction.

I support DEPORTING those aliens that have breeched our borders illegally providing  the Feds will give us that authority and the proper funding.

I will be a strong advocate of Law Enforcement to ensure that our highways, streets, homes  and families are safe. This is done by supplying adequate personel and increasing the pay and benefits to attract good and dependable people to this profession.
