I was instrumental in starting the soccer program in LaFayette. It started at the recreation level then made it's way into the middle and high schools. I was a Coach at Lafayette High School for seven years, two of them as head coach of the boy's soccer program. I help in conducting our Special Olympics program each year through the LaFayette Optimist Club. I was voted by my peers as Officer Of The Year in 2004. I created and conduct the annual Respect For Law Week in the LaFayette area with LaFayette High School students. I help raise money for various organizations and benefits such as The LaFayette Optimist Club, Western Lodge #91 F&AM, North Georgia Vietnam Veterans Assoc., Stocking full of Love, Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes, Police Officers Christmas, and Christmas gift baskets for the elderly and handicapped.
